I save too many things already and Jana would kill me if I tried to save more.

I already recently through out a bunch of old software. I do have some hardware lying around that didn't make it to the last hazardous waste pile in the past.

But I like your set-up. Sounds good.

I have more old computers than I know what to do with.

I've been subscribing to coasttocoastam.com for years, $55/year, for the

daily mp3 downloads. It's well worth it. But in an effort to cut back on

expenditures (my furlough cuts my pay 20%), I decided to record my own

shows. I have an old Dell Inspiron netbook running XT. So I bought one

of these Griffin radio sharks, a discontinued item from the XT era (may

run on win7't know):

It basically turns a computer into an AMFM radio. It has crappy

recording timer software, which I won't use. I'll use Total Recorder

which I've used for years, which records anything playing on the

speakers, and has a great scheduler. I just tune to the station, and

plug a male-male mini audio cable into both audio ports so I don't have

to hear the radio. Tonight I'll see how it does. A new toy -- don't

even need a network connection.

Don't throw away old software or hardware. You never know when it might

come in handy. Kinda wish I still had that old Royal typewriter Mom gave me.
